Hi Meanie, I just saw this post and thought I'd respond as well since I have a very "unconventional" way of Faith.

Well I consider myself at the core a "Christian" there are many things some would say along that line that I do and do not believe in that make me vary.

I must say as a pre-amble that I have studied many other religions and I feel I have taken a part of each. They are all different and yet all have similarities, and it's within these similarities that I found universal truths. There is a Higher Power, called by many different names, God, Allah, Mohammed, Buddah...etc. And yet many others believe in a higher power that cannot be named such as Toaism (or a direct way to higher enlightenment without having to go thru another deity or human being to achieve it).

I have always been fascinated by religion and always seek to learn more about it.

I grew up Catholic. Of course any of us that have done this knows that I grew up in a very loosely believing society that went to church more for "show" than for "worship." You go on Christmas and Easter and perhaps a few Sundays inbetween. You made your kids go to Sunday classes and that was the cycle. I had such a hard time believing in all the pre-conceived notions I quit before I received Confirmation. By Grace I believe, since the Bishop only came to our area every other year, the year I was supposed to was not it, and never ended up going back.

I then married into Christianity, and perhaps more defined Baptist.

I moved from church to church because none really felt like "home" to me and I was tired of people preaching what I felt had nothing to do with God or what God wanted. I could go into the issues but most of them are obvious - and are obvious issues with churches as a whole. Now don't get me wrong I wasn't looking for a "perfect church" as none truly exist as they are all governed by man - who has fault.

Not liking the spin and interpretations of others on what THEY felt was important for me to believe, I did my own self-study. I got online, I purchased books, I did research and it has helped me grasp a more universal reality of Eternal Love & Understanding.

Mind you all, as you already know, I am a psychic, and not only having that has been trying but accepting it as a part of Faith had been a battle all of my life. Everywhere you are taught is that psychics are bad or false or witch craft or unchristian. Not that they are worried if it's for the good of man or a gift from God or anything...but as a whole it is frowned upon and is why I live my waking life as a "closet psychic" most of the time. But strangely this also gives me "insight" into the other side and by my self studies and working with my Guide - I kinda have a grasp of what goes on once you pass on. (And usually only share this with folks who ask or there is a specific reason for me to share with them, as in they are also working on getting to where I am on a psychic or empathic level.)

I believe also in kharma. The accumulation of good or bad determines not only what happens to us in life, but after it. I have met some people in serious Kharmic debt - their lives are miserable and the debt they owe when they cross.

I believe there is a place known as Heaven which is filled with positive energy and positive beings. I believe their is also a void of this and a place void of love which some people have labeled "Hell."

I know not only from my studies but by my work with the Other Side that having Faith alone, yes can save you. If you are accepting of enlightenment then you shall have it.

You don't need to attend a church or hold a bible or put a religious label on yourself to be accepted by God.

I hope that explains things from my humble perspective.
