Alacharm asked me to come here to let you all know that her mother lost her battle with cancer. Alacharm is busy taking care of funeral arrangement and such, so she will not be around for some time.

My heart goes out to you Ala - I don't know what it's like to lose a mom and best friend but know our prayers are with you and your little girl.

Hi guys.
Thank you for the condolences. It's been a rough week. Kid has handled it well. She was given the option the of going up with me or staying behind. She asked to stay behind. I have to respect that. I was able to be with her when she passed. It is a long story and I am not up to it at the moment. My bosses are super as they paid for my ticket to get up there to Pennsylvania. They also were willing to give me this next week off. I cannot afford to take anymore time off. The upside is I was able to reconnect with family that I had not seen in several years. After tracking them down all I had to do was call and I had a place to go. Just wanted to let you guys know I was back.

And I think it's wonderful that you're reconnecting with family. Sometimes we get so busy in life it takes times like these to bonk us on the head about what's important. Those are great people that help out in times like these. Good bosses are hard to come by these days, I'm glad you have them!
I'm so happy to hear you are back in touch with family! Like Myst said with busy lives we don't have time to make a phone call and that is sad.
