Ok, Im not sure, what but something is going on! Since the very day, I started coming to to Ezboard, ghost message boards, strange things have happened. My computer keeps restarting, its taking me longer than ever to refresh a page, and I have cable internet. I keep getting odd messages from Yahoo, unable to connect, Yahoo is getting messages from your server it cannot understand. When my screensaver comes on, it takes like 10-15 minutes before my desktop comes up. The other day, I read War And Peace, before I was logged on. Im now convinced, someone put a ghost in my computer.

Well, since using Kazaa, I cant do it. Everyt time I do it, Kazza says I must reload the kazza program. Yeah, Im an expert with computers, I can easily get it back up and running, but I like using Kazaa.

Kazza is your problem. It is a very nasty program full of spywear, add programs and back doors. I would not use it. Kazza lite is ok (it's Kazza with out all the nastys), but it's being shut down.

DONT USE KAZAA, BAD KAZAA BAD BAD BAD I did a spy wear check and it red flagged a lot of stuff. Since i got rid of it, my puter runs SO much better. Try a google search for ARES. same kinda deal, but nun of the Kazaa nastiest. Ben |

I say get Kazaa Lite K++ while you still can, or you can always use WinMX. It's a little less cute-looking but it gets the job done.

I ran my Spybot program, it didnt corrup my Kazaa, and my computer seems to be back to normal

I uninstalled kazaa today after downloading it today....bad program. nothing happened to me on it, but people were getting caught for downloading stuff on it....that's why bunches of people I nkow took it off their pc!

Tempted to hell with kazaa learn to use bittorrent, and as for your comp just run ad aware on it and dig out all those nasty little dataminers.. and if you have any more problems post it in The Tower forums  X  |

OMG....
I am soo glad I saw this thread...  I ran ad-aware and found 75 bugs...someone's been spying on me..lol  My kids dl Kaza a long time ago...It has now been deleted..anything else I should do? thanks Karen "The only way out....is through...."

yes get a firewall application going while you surf the net i use zone alarm but i got a free copy of pro so its does x300 what the free version does
also if you can get a full copy of ad aware use a pop up blocker that monitors your internet activity in real time X |

I don't know about a ghost in the computer, but my Computer Teacher at college used to swear that NetScape was possessed.
It would suddenly do wierd thing.Anyways, like most are telling you, avoid regular Kazza it's nothing by spyware. You may end up reformatting your computer to get everything off. I had a computer tech also tell me once that if your computer is rebooting itself, that sometimes that happens when the motherboard is going bad, but from what you're telling me..sounds like you've either got a virus, program conflict, or something different going on with your computer. If you're really worried that your computer is possesed, you can always cleanse around it with incense. Couldn't hurt. |
